Robert Svoboda - Ayurveda, Jyotish (Vedic Astrology)

Description

Robert Svoboda was the first Westerner ever to graduate from a college of Ayurveda, the ancient Indian science of natural healing, and be licensed to practice Ayurveda in India. He completed his Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (Ayurvedacharya) at Poona University more than 30 years ago, in 1980.

During and after Dr. Svoboda's formal Ayurvedic training he was tutored in Ayurveda, Yoga, Jyotish (Vedic Astrology), Tantra and related subjects by his mentor, the Aghori Vimalananda. Dr. Svoboda lived in India from 1973-80 and 1982-86. Since 1985 he has travelled the world lecturing, consulting, teaching and writing. He has written numerous books and articles on Ayurveda and natural healing and serves as Adjunct Faculty at the Ayurvedic Institute, Albuquerque, NM, and Bastyr University, Kenmore, WA.
