Jen Young: Yoga for Lower Back Pain and Sciatica
Description
As well as teaching Vinyasa Flow classes, Jen Young works with clients one-on-one to heal lower back pain, sciatica and other injuries/misalignments. 10 years of experience as a personal trainer provide Jen with unique insights into biomechanics and kinesthetics of asanas. Her goals are to emphasize the balance between strength and ease and to help students find self-healing through the transformative power of the breath. She incorporates kriyas, pranayama, deep core work, holding of poses, meditation as well as gentle massage and manipulation into a creative and playful Vinyasa Flow.
Jen is RYT-200 certified. She received her teacher training from Gopi Kinnicutt, from whom she learned a strong sense of responsibility, humility and service in teaching yoga. Her background in the performing and martial arts also serves to take you deeper into your practice.
