DAYA Foundation: Delivering Accessible Yoga Alternatives, we teach yoga to people of all levels and from all walks (or wheels) of life. Our programs include amrita yoga: vinyasa and alignment-based classes steeped in anatomical wisdom, ayurveda, mindfulness, and the psychology of yoga's development of life skills; adaptive yoga: using a two-chair or floor-based model these classes support students with Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, neurological conditions, osteoporosis, or other conditions; mindfulness-based yoga for people with anxiety, depression, PTSD, insomnia, disordered eating patterns, and other mental health journeys as well as those needing more tools for stress management; and restorative yoga based on the seasonal rhythms of Ayurveda.
We also train yoga teachers and allied health professionals, mental health therapists, service delivery providers, and medical professionals in the tools of yoga therapy.
Our Outreach Yoga Programs include wheelchair yoga, yoga for drug and alcohol rehab, yoga in hospital settings, yoga for the department of corrections, and yoga for assisted living programs.
