Dawn Miller
Dawn is a yoga teacher, meditation instructor, and yoga therapist. She enjoys teaching yoga as a way to help people bring about positive change in their own lives, regardless of the reasons that bring them to the mat.
Her specialties include teaching yoga for health and wellness (yoga therapy), yoga for beginners, restorative yoga (for managing stress & recovering from illness), and guided meditation (yoga nidra). She offers private sessions for individuals, couples, and small groups.
Dawn also provides yoga and meditation classes for workplace wellness programs and hospitals around the NE Ohio area (including Connor Integrative Health Network at University Hospitals). Having worked in both corporate and medical settings for most of her career, she has the experience to effectively tailor programs for employee and institutional needs.
Her teaching emphasizes connecting awareness with the breath, calming the mind, and nurturing the body through a combination of pranayama (breathing) techniques, meditative practices, and asanas (physical postures). Mindfulness of the present moment and connecting with inner stillness are key elements of her teaching style. Her classes also incorporate fundamental principles of alignment in the physical postures to ensure a safe and healthy practice.
