I have been teaching yoga since 2012. My focus is on ensuring each student is approaching asana, pranayama, and meditation in the healthiest way for their body, My focus on alignment is largly influenced by the Iyengar teachers I have studied with. In my own teachings, levity and laughter are also important ingredients. While yoga can be challenging both physically and mentally, it's important to find joy in between the spaces. I encourage students to play and to not take the practice too seriously so that the ego can take a break. Practicing in this way has helped me overcome self limiting beliefs both on and off the mat. I teach at my 1,200 square foot barn studio on my 1.5 ace property in Bend, OR. When the weather is nice, I enjoy taking my students onto the upstairs balcony or under the pine trees. I offer Hatha, restorative, gentle yoga, and yin yoga. My studio is equipped with a rope wall, bolsters, blankets, straps, eye wraps and chairs to assist us in our practice. When students are open to it, I also enjoy incorporating essential oils into the session.
Hatha
I recieved my 500-hr RYT from Sandy Carmellini at Brentwood Yoga Center. I have an additional 20 hours of Yin yoga training from Be Shakti as well as 20 hours of philosohpy training with her. I have also practiced alongside Iyengar teacher HS Arun from Prashant Yoga.
