Ann-Marie Everitt
My name is Ann-Marie Everitt and I am happy to share the Ambā Yoga NYC experience with you. Ambā is a Sanskrit word for mother which was given to me when I became a teacher.
Yoga saved my sanity when I was suffering from anxiety and depression. Work, family, relationships were overwhelming. I was drinking too much, crying all the time and crippled by indecision. That was twenty-five years ago, yoga gave me a path through that crazy maze to balance and happiness and has given me good health ever since.
My classes channel the sun, surf and sea of my home country Australia. My approach is light and playful. I believe wholeheartedly that together we can empower you with healthy body and mind.
*********
I am forever grateful to my teachers: Sri Swami Satchidananda, Paramahamsa Nithyananda, Reverend Vidya Vonne, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Swami Vidyananda, Kali Morse, Rashmi Galliano, Tao, Dechen Thurman, Hamsa Spagnola, Dr Steffany Moonaz, Silvia Nakkach and Dr John Beaulieu & Kimberley Brown.
I teach yoga and meditation in NYC in private homes, as well as working with students all over the world via the internet. I am also honored to teach at Integral Yoga Institute, as well as the game-changing Breathe for Change. I was instrumental in implementing a Mindfulness and Meditation program for the MTA and I also provide Mindfulness and Meditation training for the tenants of the World Trade Center.
YOGA IS FOR EVERYONE
I am an ambassador for the accessible yoga movement - Yoga is for everyone - all genders, shapes, physical conditions, sizes and ages. Happily married with fellow yogi, Kurt Mahoney, we plan to share the good life and the wonderful tools of yoga and meditation for as long as we can.

If you need the personal attention that you can’t find in a studio
Some of the health practices we can tailor for your body and your health are: improved breathing, posture and movement habits. We also offer complementary tools for pain management and injury recovery.
If you want to experience more fulfilling relationships with people
Fulfilling relationships with others begin with a good relationship with ourselves. Our hurried lifestyles are often full of self-blame and harsh self-criticism. In a private yoga program we can develop self-acceptance and compassion which then radiates out to our inner circles and then our communities. Modern psychology also tells us that this is the key to success in business. The more gentle and playful we are with ourselves, the more emboldened we feel to live our lives fully, take risks and live through the good and the not so good outcomes.
