Andrea Leon
Andrea first started practicing yoga when she was seventeen, seeking a way to build herself up and feel good amidst negative body image and lack of self confidence.
Her practice deepened in college when she studied abroad in Guatemala where she discovered Ashtanga yoga. It grounded and comforted, provided her strength and confidence.
The movement and calming effect of Yoga remained an important part of Andrea’s daily routine as she suffered chronic neck and back pain, and stomach pain from colitis.
Amidst the struggles, stress, uncertainties and fears of life - yoga gets me through and brings me back to the peace that is within myself. I want to share this feeling and gift of yoga with others and the incredible healing, energizing, and soothing benefits that it offers.
As a teacher, Andrea enjoys giving students the experience of connecting deeper with their body, mind and soul. She offers an atmosphere to build awareness, cultivate energy, embrace individuality, and connect with peace.
She completed her RYT 200 certification through Yoga Bird in 2016 and has been teaching ever since, mainly Hatha, Vinyasa, and Power yoga.
Andrea teaches at local studios, private events, small groups and one on one. She also conducts workshops and provides mentoring.
