Arianna Taboada Yoga and Pilates Therapeutics
I teach hatha and restorative yoga and pilates on the mat with a special emphasis on the therapeutic benefits of the practice. My primary goal in group classes is to pair proper alignment and safe sequencing with use of the breath and philosophy. Students will find a gently paced, yet challenging class that builds strength, stamina and increased awareness of the mind-body-breath connection. I draw from my western training in mental health (Masters in Social Work and Maternal/Child Health) and welcome students who are working with both physical injury and mental health diagnoses.
I have extensive experience working one-on-one with individuals who have anxiety, scoliosis and other spinal anomalies, hip replacement, and lymphedema. I offer a range of rehabilitation and self-care options for those looking to use yoga and pilates to heal an injury or address limited mobility.
