Daphne Fairbanks
Daphne connected to movement while studying dance in college and then explored yoga through books, as there were no studios arouin her area at the time. She has worked in several health related settings - in Respiratory Therapy, in a county Family Planning clinic, and as a practicing Midwife and Childbirth Educator for 15 years. As a midwife, she found fulfillment working with young families and women transitioning through the Childbearing Year. Daphne found a local studio around 2010 and began a regular practice. She completed her first teacher training in 2014, as a means to to find work/life balance. She is happy to have returned to working with people as they discover the benefits of yoga for wellbeing.
Daphne is excited to share yoga with those new to practice, those wanting to learn more about yoga, and those returning. Having deepened her own practice as an 'older yogi', she especially looks forward to connecting with those 45+ yogis looking for ease of movement and mind. She continues to add to her knowledge with trainings focused to support special populations.
