Reformer Pilates takes the best elements from mat-based Pilates in Vancouver and adds the element of resistance through springs attached to a machine known as a reformer, which works with the user's body weight to add tension and intensity. We offer high-intensity, low-impact workouts to give you a more defined shape and create a firmer appearance. Reformer Pilates simply describes the apparatus used in reformer classes. Here at Dynamic Pilates, we believe that everyone can benefit from the techniques described in traditional Pilate's mat programs.
The problem is that it is difficult to perform traditional exercises on a mat when the goal of the exercise is increased muscle length and increased body length. With short muscles and a short torso, it's difficult for many people to reach their full potential with traditional mat-based exercises. This is where Dynamic pilates comes to the rescue!
