Gentle Hatha
Deanna offers an eclectic, gentle or challenging, Hatha practice and makes an effort to offer something fresh. Students have complimented her on her soothing, affirming, instructional and personal way of teaching. They have said her voice is relaxing and inviting to the practice of yoga.
Places where she may be found teaching to both large and small groups are studios, gyms, assisted living facilities, corporate rooms, hotel conference rooms, parks, at the beach, and in private homes. In addition to substitute teaching for various studios and teachers and teaching private clients, Deanna also volunteers as a teacher. In 2010, she began teaching yoga to participants of the Irvine Ranch Conservancy’s hike & yoga program. And, for more than a year she volunteer taught at Shanti, an AIDS support organization.
Currently, Deanna continues her daily personal yoga practice and to teach as often as possible. She brings a love of yoga to each class and she hopes to guide others to discover the depth of knowledge that yoga has to offer. Deanna’s wish as a yoga teacher is to share the healing and love that she has found through yoga with her students, who ultimately are her greatest teachers.
