Katrina Sukola

Description

Katrina’s teaching is influenced by her training including hatha yoga, restorative yoga, and Yoga Tune Up including myofascial release techniques. Her classes are also influenced by her extensive study of dance and pilates, and has taught yoga, therapeutic flow, yin, meditation, pilates-yoga fusion, and Ballet/Yoga classes. Students will experience thoughtfully sequenced classes, cultivating body and mental awareness and finding balance between effort and ease. Students are led through the safe execution of yoga poses while encouraged to find their own expression of poses and variations in their practice. 

Katrina has explored other yoga styles such as Vinyasa, Forest, Yin, and Anusara yoga. Her teaching is strongly influenced by her practice of yoga, combining Ashtanga’s focus on connecting movement with breath and Iyengar’s attention to precise alignment. She has experienced the powerful mental and physical benefits of yoga, both on and off the mat, and loves to share this mind-body practice with her students. 

Katrina has been teaching since 2009 and offers classes and workshops focused on yoga for stress release including restorative yoga and myofascial release techniques throughout Washington, Oregon, California, and Canada.
