The problem is for years we have taken short cuts to our health, and the physical and emotional stresses that have accumulated in the body, mind and spirit have simply taken their toll.
By finding the root cause of what is happening in the body, you can be healthy without the "band-aids" to help you through the day. In a initial consultation, we will work together and determine your dosha: Kapha, Pitta, or Vata, mental & physiologic functions, including metabolism and create a treatment plan for your health and wellbeing.
Specializing in the area of stress, anxiety, depression, weight loss and rehabilitation of injuries, I have helped transform the lives of many people around the world recover, repair and recreate themselves through modalities of balanced foundational framework connecting the body mind and spirit. My method of teaching comes from an organically intuitive place, and therapeutic perspective. Drawing from studying the yoga lineages of Iyengar, Ashtanga, Indra Devi and Deskichar, my sessions weave together modalities of Ayurveda, Yoga and Yoga Therapy, Nutrition & Lifestyle Wellness.
A consultation with me is an effective, mindful and educational way to remedy imbalances in the body and mind, alleviate and heal skin problems and address food and health concerns using a multi-dimensional, holistic approach.

A practicing yogi for a decade, Monique is a Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation instructor, Yoga Therapist, Nutrition and Lifestyle Mentor, and Auyrveda Wellness Counselor, with a practice in Mt. Kisco, NY and Greenwich, CT. She has a Yoga Therapy Rx Degree from Loyola Marymount University, is a certified Yoga Teacher, E-RYT 500-hour with the Yoga Alliance, and has a minor in Psychology from Iowa State University. Monique also is an Ayurveda & Yoga Wellness Counselor certified by the American Institute of Vedic Studies, founded and directed by Dr. David Frawley, and was afforded an opportunity to complete her Ayurveda Wellness studies and certification at the Sivananda ashram in Cu Chi, Vietnam, where she mentored with Durga Leela.
She has traveled to India where she taught yoga in a village in Bangalore, where she also lived and studied meditation and The Yoga Sutra’s of Patanjali in Sanskrit with Swami Shivablananda. She has also travelled to Kerala, the original home to Ayurveda, and studied as well as experienced Ayurvedic treatments with many different masters of the medicine.
