Nina Priya David - Yoga Teacher, Yoga Therapist and Trainer

Description

 

Nina Priya David (Priya Ma), received her spiritual name and initial Yoga training from Sri Swami Satchidananda and Integral Yoga Institute. Her path to becoming a Yoga teacher and therapist includes being an Oscar-winning choreographer, TV talk show guest, college professor and half a decade of soul-searching in contemplative monasteries in the U.S. and Brazil. She has a Master's degree in Spiritual Education from Fordham University.

Priya Ma is founder and director of Creative Yoga Therapy which serves those who might want to engage in Yoga and a variety of related holistic practices yet hesitate due to physical or mental health condition, age or lifestyle.

Priya Ma’s studies and training in classical foundations of Tantra with Sri Param Eswaran in Tamil Nadu, South India and with Bodhi Avinasha of Tantrika International have contributed to her innovative approaches with integrating Classical Tantric healing principles in serving those who are frail, fragile, elderly, disabled, cognitively impaired, at-risk, in chronic pain, and dying and their caregivers. 

For over 25 years she has designed and implemented programs for medical, educational, community and spiritual organizations including: VISIONS Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired, Beth Israel Medical Center, SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Visiting Nurse Service of NY, Hospital for Special Surgery's Integrative Care Center, the New York City, Northern California & Nevada Alzheimer's Associations, the New York City & Monroe County Boards of Education, Fordham University, rural Kentucky and Brazil, and at international conferences.
