Serap (Sam) Hanley
Serap (Sam) Hanley is a highly experienced personal health therapist specializing in compassionate preventative and restorative care, pain management, and coaching to improve the overall quality of life for her students. She studied Yoga Therapy for Cancer Patients and Therapeutic Yoga for Seniors at Duke Integrative Medicine and holds a Biology Degree. Serap is an active member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and holds numerous certifications in all aspects of yoga instruction.
Serap’s career started as an investment banking professional in New York City. She worked for Goldman Sachs and Shearson Lehman Brothers for approximately fifteen years. After, retiring to raise a family she became the principle caregiver for some senior family members. Finding her love for yoga while being a caregiver, she discovered the benefits of yoga for the body and mind and how it improves quality of life.
Serap began her therapeutic practice in 2008. Serap reviews all aspects of her students’ health and specifically designs a unique program to meet her student’s specific needs. Her therapy incorporates the healing principles of yoga, blending functional movement and rehabilitative therapies to improve her students’ health and well-being.
