Yoga focused on the mature non-athelete for well-being & flexibility
I began yoga as a teen but fell away from regular practice. Over the years I would take classes off and on but as I approached 50 I knew I needed to bring the practice back to my life so I have returned as a regular practitioner and now as teacher to bring the benefits of stress reduction, relaxation, and positive imagery to others.
Exercise that's safe and gentle is essential for all but it is critically important as we hit middle age and beyond, especially for flexibility, bone health and balance. I see a huge need for a yoga focused on the mature individual many of whom may have been sedimentary for years and now feel the need to bring movement and health to their lives. I am filling this need with my approach to yoga.
I also have experience with yoga for children with a focus on breathing and guided relaxation to reduce anxiety and sleeplessness.
